
It’s a story of two people – Lynda and Mir:
- They were born in two different countries – England and India;
- They came to Canada from two different countries – England and the United States;
- They believed in two different religions – Judaism and Islam;
- They represented two different races – Caucasian and Asian; and
- They spoke two different native languages – English and Urdu.
Yet, they lived together blossoming for 50 years in various parts of:
- Canada:
- Ontario – Malton, Bramalea, West Hill, Pickering, Scarborough, Ajax, and Ottawa;
- New Brunswick – Fredericton;
- Alberta – Calgary; and
- British Columbia – Sidney By the Sea.
- The United States:
- Nevada – Las Vegas.
They also lived in Oxford, United Kingdom, for a while when Mir was doing his studies at Oxford University.
They spent their vacations in:
- France;
- Australia;
- New Zealand;
- Mexico;
- Cuba;
- Fiji;
- Venezuela;
- The United Kingdom:
- England;
- Scotland;
- Wales, and
- Northern Ireland.
- The United States: Nemours States.
They cruised to various islands in Hawaii:
- Kauai;
- Oahu;
- Molokai; and
- Maui.
They also cruised to:
- Mexico;
- Alaska;
- California; and
- Catalina Island (California).
They were an odd couple in a true sense.
They were both married before and Lynda had two daughters – Ruth and Maxine – from a previous marriage. They had a son together, Adam, who’s happily married to Lindsay and they live together with their four kids in Manotick, Ontario, Canada.
